I am hosting my blog for free, thanks to Blogger. You can also host for free with Wordpress or similar services. But, there are obvious advantages of hosting a blog yourself. It is highly recommended by internet gurus to buy a hosting package and register your own domain name. It gives complete control over your blog and in the long run it could be beneficial too. If you setup your own blog and could obtain a decent Google Page Rank, then you can sell your blog for good money after one or two years.

I sincerely mean no offense to anyone hosting for free, but it is also a matter of being taken seriously as a business.
Many won't take free hosted blogs/sites seiously. They think, if someone can't or won't pay $10 (or less) per month, why should I do business with, or listen to them?
You did things right by at least upgrading the theme and it looks great! You may want to buy a domain and forward it tho. :)
